We believe that the key to onboarding the next billion users into web3 lies in 1) providing people with an accessible hardware platform that lowers the barriers to participate 2) providing people with internet connectivity and 3) unlocking new on-chain opportunities

Jambo has pushed the boundaries on hardware, software, and supply chain to deliver the best web3 mobile experience at the best possible price for our users. The next phase of Jambo will be to secure the online-readiness and improve censorship resistance of mobile data access. Jambo is looking to create a satellite program to vertically integrate into this hardware strategy. As this hardware and data strategy rolls out, JamboPhone users can engage with crypto from all corners of the world no matter how remote.

Payments & Finance

The Jambo wallet in the superapp can significantly democratize access to financial applications, particularly in emerging markets, by effectively banking the unbanked. In regions where traditional banking services are limited or non-existent, a crypto wallet offers users the ability to store, send, and receive funds, without the need for a bank account.

Moreover, crypto wallets can facilitate microloans, peer-to-peer lending, and other DeFi applications. We want to empower our community with these improved alternatives.

Gaming & Consumer

We want to bring the most innovative games and consumer applications in crypto to our community. The tech world has trended towards mobile-first and we want to be the launchpad for better mobile experiences in web3.

DePIN

We envision our ownership of both the hardware and the operating system creates unique opportunities for DePIN. On the hardware side, our $99 smartphone will reduce the fixed upfront cost for DePIN projects, as well as eliminate need to purchase single purpose dedicated hardware. On the software side, we can install integrated solutions to run programs easily from day one of ownership.

Potential use cases for JamboPhone x DePIN include validator nodes, location services, data hotspots, and more.

Identity

We also envision Jambo becoming important towards identifying “real users” within crypto without damaging privacy concerns. Crypto has seen an uptick in bots and sybil farming – this will only become exacerbated with the proliferation of AI.

JamboPhone can help other projects identify real users by tying hardware to a users crypto wallet, creating a sybil resistant ecosystem for the best web3 projects to thrive in.

Many of our partners have already elected to airdrop their native tokens to Jambo users precisely because of this anti-sybil mechanism that ties hardware requirements to wallets.
